September Reflections - A Reflection on September 2019

I can't believe another month has gone by and I'm writing yet another reflections post. Again, I just love writing these, because it's nice to have somewhere to have the positive things that have happened month by month.

I like to just jump straight in with these posts, so here's what we got up to this month...

This month, I tried out doing some baking with Edith. I think this was more of a 90:10 effort ratio, if I'm honest!

Edith wasn't too sure to begin with, and was much happier trying to run away with the cake mix spoon!

During this activity, we got out Edith's messy mat, and we sat on the floor to do all of our mixing and pouring. I have to say, I think Edith's favourite part was actually eating the cakes once they were ready.

I remember leaving the plate of cakes on the dining table, so that I could go and put something away in the kitchen. Edith then came into the hallway, holding another cake and ran off laughing because she knew she was being cheeky!

Pottery Painting

If you've followed my blog, you'll know that I just love pottery painting. I can't tell you guys how often we go, and even before Edith, we used to love going pottery painting. I have all sorts of good and bad creations in my house!

It's safe to say that the creations that I've made with Edith are my far my favourite. This time, we went painting with our lovely friends Keira and Thea, and the girls loved it, although they did need preoccupying with snacks after a while!

Nanny comes to visit

This month, we had a weekend visit from my mum which was lovely. As my mum lives so far from us, we don't often get to see her but I just love having her come to stay. Edith really loved this visit too and Mummy and Daddy were not the favourites - it was all about Nanny!

I got back into blogging!

I'd lost a lot of motivation for my blog. I think a lot of it stems down to how competitive this area is. However, having a nice break from feeling like I had to post, really helped with wanting to get back in to consistently posting. I've now decided that I'll be posting every Wednesday from 6am, which seemed like the right thing to do.

Originally, I was posting twice a week (Monday and Wednesday's), but I felt like I was just waffling for a while, so I'll post every Wednesday from now on, with the odd extra post depending on my inspiration!

Story Imagin-ory

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know what a massive fan that I am of Freya and her brilliant business. Edith has absolutely loved going back to Story Imagin-ory, and it's been such a joy to see.

This term we started off on Story Imagin-ory's brand new Teenies sessions, and Edith has been so in to it!

Edith has loved being able to explore and play, and her speech has really come on since!

You'll see more on Story Imagon-ory from me soon!

Happy Mum Happy Baby Live

I had the best night watching Happy Mum Happy Baby - watch this space for a blog post!

I won't say too much as I have a blog post coming this week, but it was such a great night out. It felt amazing to have some Amy time for a Mum's night out!

Is there anything that you'd like to reflect on from September 2019?

Thanks, lovelies.
