Easy Breastfeeding With The Milky Tee Co*

*This post does contain gifted tees, however, I have chosen to write and post this blog without any expectation to do so. I just love my tees!

As you guys may, or may not know, I love writing about breastfeeding. Whether that be hints and tips, or showing off some breastfeeding products; I just love it.

So, after having collaborated on Instagram with The Milky Tee Co before, it seemed only right that I include them in my blog to go into a bit more detail about their fab breastfeeding friendly tees!

Main features

One of the main features, and one of the main selling points, for me, are the hidden zips at the sides of the tees. You can't tell that they are there at all. They blend perfectly with the style of the top, regardless of the colour.

It's really easy to re-zip as well after a nursing or pumping session, which makes it that bit easier to put your breasts away!

Easy breastfeeding

One thing that I really struggled to get my head around, when breastfeeding, was the 'one up, one down' method. I don't particularly like wearing layers, when it comes to tops and so I try to avoid it when I can. I find I often get myself in a fluster trying to lift one top up, whilst trying to pull the other down and trying to hold on to a wriggly baby at the same time. That's where The Milky Tee Co comes in.

I was so intrigued by their tops, partly because I just wanted to be able to wear a t-shirt that didn't look mumsy, and didn't look like a breastfeeding top. I wanted something that made me feel comfortable, stylish and that was easy to breastfeed in. I've probably said it before, but I like to remain covered up when I'm feeding, and to try to be as discreet as I can. With the zips down either side of the tees, it allowed easy access to my boobs without having to expose myself. Once Edith was latched on, you couldn't tell at all that I was wearing a nursing or pumping friendly top.

As a mum, I think it becomes a way of life to dress practically. Do we really have time to faff about with layers with a boob hungry baby? Not really.

An added perk of The Milky Tee Co tees is that they are made from OEKO-TEX® certified materials. That means they are perfect for sensitive skin as the material has been tested to make sure it does not cause irritation or contain any harmful substances. Edith has quite sensitive skin, and will often come up in small marks, or will have dry skin, so this is an eliminated worry when it comes to wearing my tees.

I think society has a way of making mums feel like they have to all of a sudden have to start dressing a certain way, just because they are a mum. It feels like too big of a loss of identity, if you ask me!

Excuse the mirror shot, but I couldn't wait to take a picture in my new tee!

You really can't tell that I'm wearing a nursing top.

What Lauren, at the Milky Tee Co, has managed to create is brilliant. There is nothing mumsy about these tees and my Cherry Red Long Sleeved Milky Tee is one of my absolute favourites. I wear a lot of red, so it goes perfectly with my outfits!

Thank you Milky Tee Co!

You can find The Milky Tee Co online via the links on this blog which are highlighted in red. If you're a breastfeeding or pumping mama, I cannot recommend these comfy tees enough!

Thanks, lovelies.
