7 things you should do at Disneyland Paris

In preparation for our trip to Disneyland Paris for Edith's first birthday - I know it's still some time way, but I need to relive the magic beforehand, I thought I'd make a list of some of the things that you should do when you go.

Buffet breakfast

If staying on site, Disneyland Paris hotels no longer offer free breakfast, as they used to. However, I think that it is completely worth spending the extra on, especially with kids, because starting the day with a big, filling breakfast will help keep those energy levels up that you'll need in the parks.

In the hotels, they now offer some hot foods such as sausages, eggs and sliced potato chips alongside their continental spreads. The new added foods is definitely a bonus and gives greater variety.

Fast-Pass System

Take advantage of this. It's so handy to have, especially when the queues are long for a particular ride, which means you can get your fast-pass and explore another part of the park until your designated riding time.

Bear in mind, that for some popular attractions, these can run out throughout the day, so get them early if you know that there's a particular ride that you'd like to go on. Also, Disney Fast-pass is free, which is a big bonus!

Castle selfie

You can't go to a Disney park, and not take a photo in front of the castle. It just has to be done. They always make great photos. After all, it's one of the first things that you see walking down Main Street!

If you feel comfortable enough, as I normally do, then you could ask someone to take your photo for you in front of the castle. People who visit Disney, are generally friendly and happy. I tend to do this, and then offer to take their photo in return. It can be hard to get photos that all of your party are in with you!

Character dining

Meeting the characters is such a highlight during all of my Disney trips - my personal favourite being Minnie Mouse, sorry Mickey!

Character meals are one of the best ways to meet multiple characters at any one time without having to queue to see them. Plus, having them come to you at your table, is a big bonus!

Grab a snack for the parades/shows

I love having popcorn when watching any of the shows. There's something about the popcorn at Disneyland which just makes it all the more sweeter. Better yet, you could head to the bakery on Main Street, and treat yourself to some candy floss, or even some cute Mickey shaped cookies - yum!

What ever you opt for, definitely get a snack to enjoy those shows!

See the Dragon!

One thing that I think is so wonderful about the Disneyland Paris castle, or Sleeping Beauty's castle, is the hidden Maleficent Dragon underneath. It's a really cool part of the castle, but you've got to make sure that you can find it, as the entrance is not clearly sign posted!

So, if in doubt, as a nearby Cast Member that will point you in the right direction.

Go during an event

If you can, try and book when a special event is going on at the parks.

My personal favourite time to go is during the Christmas celebrations. I love the atmosphere in Disney parks anyway, but there's something about it being cold and having Disney Christmas lights up, that just makes it feel so magical.

There's a whole variety of events that go on in Disneyland Paris, so have a look before you go!

So, those are some of the things that I think you should do at Disneyland Paris.
What are some of your 'must-do's' at Disneyland Paris?

Thanks, lovelies.
